CHESTER, Pa.- The West Chester University men's track and field team was back in action this weekend at Widener University for the two-day Danny Curran Invitational.
Damian Simpson recorded top-five finishes in the 100 and 200, placing third in the 100 in 10.82 seconds and sixth in the 200 in 21.93 seconds.
David Burnshaw took ninth in the 400 in 49.12 seconds, while Brayden Teufel was 15
th in the 400 hurdles in 57.81 seconds.
Matt Remishofski finished 14
th in the 800 in 1:55.03, and
Jason Vogt was 10
th in the 5k in 14:55.76.
West Chester also set a new program record in the 4x100 relay as the quartet of
Alijah Serrano,
Amarre Mayo, Nicholas Tran, and Simpson took second in 41.00 seconds.
Derrick Lukomski Pizzo took second in both the discus and shot put with marks of 169 feet 10 ½ inches (51.78 meters) and 49-8 ¾ (15.16 meters), respectively.
Will Rivers was sixth in the long jump with a mark of 46-5 ¾ (14.17 meters) while finishing seventh in the long jump with a mark of 22-1 ¼ (6.74 meters).
Devin Carlson Swank was sixth in the pole vault with a mark of 13-11 ¼ (4.25 meters).
