TOWSON, Md.- The West Chester University women's gymnastics team returned to action on Sunday afternoon for its second meet of the weekend, venturing to Towson for a tri-meet with the Tigers and Alaska-Anchorage. West Chester finished third in the tri-meet with a team score of 191.325, while Towson finished first with a 195.450 and Alaska-Anchorage took second with a 191.725.
Melina Ringas (Glen Allen, Va.) and
Jordan Coleman (Bowie, Md.) led West Chester on bars with 9.700 and 9.650's to finish 11
th and 12
th. Ringas also set a new season-high in this event to lead West Chester to a 47.050 in its first event of the afternoon.
EmmaGrace Kelly (Bradenton, Fl.) led West Chester on beam with a 9.775 to finish a close second, while
Caroline Cascadden (Ashburn, Va.) was just behind in a tie for fourth with a 9.750.
Tatum McGuinn (Glen Mills, Pa.) and
Natalie Marshall (Bolton, Ma.) also finished in the top seven with scores of 9.700 and 9.675, respectively.
Catherine Keener (Holly Springs, N.C.) led West Chester on floor with a career-high matching 9.750 to finish eighth, while
Lily McFarland (Baltimore, Md.) took 10
th with a 9.725 in her return to her home state. The Golden Rams finished this event with a score of 48.300.
Rylee Harada (Runnemede, N.J.) took fifth on vault with a 9.625, while McFarland finished seventh with a 9.600 as West Chester wrapped up its meet with a 47.525 to finish with a 191.425.
