ST. PETERSBURG, Fl.- The West Chester University women's tennis team (0-5) opened its spring season in the Sunshine State vs Eckerd (5-4) on Sunday morning, falling to the Tritons on their Senior Day by a 6-1 final.
Ashleigh Grooms (Newport, Ky./Summit Country Day School) and
Sohana Thompson (Fairfield, Ohio/Seven Hills School) along with Delaney Tingle (Charlotte, N.C./Palm Desert High) and Alexandra Cave (Greenmeadows Napier, New Zealand/Woodford House) combined to win the doubles point for WCU as Grooms and Thompson won their third doubles match 6-2, while Tingle and Cave won first doubles 6-4.
