SHIPPENSBURG, Pa.- The West Chester University men's track and field squad was back in action on Wednesday night as a small contingent of Golden Rams traveled to Shippensburg for the mid-week PR bonanza hosted by the Raiders. West Chester competed in field events only on Wednesday evening, with the majority of its action taking place in throwing events throughout the evening.
Sammy Jenkins took fourth in the pole vault with a mark of 13 feet 9 ¼ inches (4.20m).
Derrick Lukomski-Pizzo took first in the discus with a mark of 175-5 (53.48m), before finishing 10
th in the hammer throw with a mark of 136-9 (41.69m).
Lukomski Pizzo also finished seventh in the shot put with a mark of 47-4 ½ (14.44m).
Ben Thornton took 11
th in the hammer with a mark of 132-0 (40.24m).
Collin Niedrowski took fourth in the javelin with a mark of 174-11 (53.32m), while Brody Wolfert was 12
th with a mark of 146-1 (44.52m).
