Box Score EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. - The West Chester University women's tennis team (3-10, 0-2) returned to PSAC East action on Wednesday afternoon against East Stroudsburg (12-3, 2-0). West Chester battled throughout the afternoon, capturing victories at fifth singles and a Golden Set at third doubles. Still, it was not enough to defeat the Warriors, as East Stroudsburg escaped with a 5-1 victory.
Sohana Thompson and
Ashleigh Grooms won their third doubles match by a 6-0 final score. Thompson then won the fifth singles match in three sets, dropping the opener by a 6-3 final score before taking the next two sets by 6-1 and 6-1 final scores. The final match of the day, sixth singles, went unfinished as rain moved into the area before the third set could be completed.
