PHILADELPHIA, Pa.- The West Chester University men's track and field squad was back in action on Friday at the 129
th Penn Relays at Historic Franklin Field on the campus of the University of Pennsylvania.
The 4x100 relay of
Ronald Leraris,
Amarre Mayo, Nicholas Tran, and
Damian Simpson took ninth in the prelims of the 4x100 relay with a time of 41.34 seconds to advance to the college division final on Saturday afternoon at 4:05 p.m.
In the 4x400 eastern division prelims, the West Chester quartet of Mayo, Simpson, Tran, and
Kevin Wickizer took 16
th in 3:30.71.
Will Rivers finished fifth in the college triple jump, reaching a mark of 46 feet 11 ½ inches (14.31 meters).
West Chester will be back in action tomorrow for the final day of the Penn Relays and at the Paul Kaiser Invitational hosted by Shippensburg.
