SHEPHERDSTOWN, WVA – Visiting West Chester swept all three doubles matches and then took the top four singles matches to complete a 7-0 win over Shepherd University in a PSAC women's tennis match Saturday.
West Chester (7-13, 3-3 PSAC East) evened its conference mark with its third straight PSAC victory to close out the 2025 campaign.
Delaney Tingle (Charlotte, N.C./Palm Desert High) and
Alexandra Cave (Greenmeadows Napier, New Zealand) were 6-0 winners at first doubles while
Gabriella Lerario dos Santos (Sao Paulo, Brazil) and
Felicia Manful (Berwyn, Pa./Conestoga) were 6-1 winners at second doubles. Shepherd forfeited third doubles.
Tingle was a 6-1, 6-0 winner at first singles while
Ashleigh Grooms (Newport, Ky./The Summit Country Day School) was a 6-0, 6-0 winner at second singles. Cave and Lerario were both 6-0, 6-0 winners as well at third and fourth singles while Shepherd forfeited fifth and sixth singles.
