Last Time Out

West Chester was in action on Wednesday night at East Stroudsburg, falling to the Warriors by a 5-1 final. Sohana Thompson and Ashleigh Grooms played a golden set to win third doubles by a 6-0 final score before Thompson captured fifth singles. However, these were the lone victories of the day for WCU, as ESU held off its guests for a 5-1 victory.

Weather Report

Thursday looks to be a warm day across the Delaware Valley; however, with this warm-up comes a threat of rain throughout the day, which may lead to the postponement of this non-league match.

On the Road Again

Thursday's match, if played, will be the third of four consecutive away matches for the Golden Rams, as WCU was in action at East Stroudsburg yesterday and will conclude its road trip with a visit to Bloomsburg on Saturday.

Scouting Wilmington

Ranked 12th in Division II with a record of 13-1 against Division II competition, Wilmington enters play on Thursday as the top-ranked program in the mid-Atlantic Region by a significant margin. Wilmington opened its spring slate with a 6-1 victory at Millersville on March 19 and dropped its next two matches, falling to Division I Delaware State by a 7-0 final and then to No. 34 Queens by the same score on March 26. Thursday's match will be the Wildcat's first match since the late March setback.

Kushi Kandoji is a team-best 13-1 in singles play, while Molly Carlbeg and Siana MacDonald are 5-3 and 3-3 at first singles on the year. MacDonald was played much of the season at second singles, going 5-2 in that spot for an overall record of 8-5. Glorida Bacaro is 9-2 in singles action, including a 6-1 mark in sixth singles.

In doubles play, Wilmington has used a host of pairings this season, with the duos of Glorida Bacaro and Molly Carlberg, Bacaro and Ines Oliveira, and Carlberg and MacDonald having some of the most consistent success, as all three enter at 3-1 on the season. Kandoji has also been a great doubles partner for the Wildcats as she is 7-2 on the year with a variety of partners.
