WEST CHESTER, Pa.- The West Chester University men's track and field team wrapped up its 2025 regular season in impressive fashion on Friday afternoon at the WCU Last Chance Meet, coming away with multiple event victories in a final tuneup ahead of the PSAC Championships next weekend.
Amarre Mayo led a host of Golden Rams in the top 10 of the 100, finishing first in 10.85 seconds, while Kamaldeen Adegbite was third along with
Nick Tran in 11.12 seconds.
Ronald Leraris and
Damian Simpson took sixth and seventh in 11.17 and 11.20 seconds.
Tran led West Chester in the 200 with a fourth-place finish in 22.08 seconds while Leraris was seventh in 22.29 seconds.
In the 800,
Mike Filipas and Shane O'Connell took third and fourth in 1:59.06 and 2:01.04 while
Colin Kelly was seventh in 2:03.60.
Matthew Remishofski won the 1500 in 3:56.30 while
Sean Fisher and
Luke Pikulski were fourth and fifth in 4:15.66 and 4:16.66, respectively.
In the 400-meter hurdles, Brayden Teufel and
Kevin Wickizer took third and fourth in 56.66 and 57.82 seconds, respectively.
West Chester went 1,2 in the 4x400 relay, finishing in 3:43.20 and 3:47.70, respectively.
West Chester took the top three spots in the pole vault as
Sammy Jenkins was first with a mark of 15 feet 0 inches (4.57 meters) while Devin Carlson Swank and Robert Carol were second and third with marks of 14-3 ¼ (4.35m) and 12-3 ½ (3.75m), respectively.
Derrick Lukomski Pizzo took second in the shot put with a mark of 50-5 ¾ (15.39m) , while winning the discus with a mark of 173-3 ½ (52.82m). Brody Wolfert took fifth in the discus with a mark of 128-10 ¾ (39.29m).
Ben Thornton led West Chester in the hammer with a mark of 156-1 (47.58m) while Lukomski Pizzo was fifth with a mark of 147-9 (45.05m).
Collin Niedrowski also won the javelin with a mark of 176-3 (53.74m).
