Baseball Ranked Second in Final Division II Baseball Regional Rankings

WEST CHESTER, Pa.- The Division II baseball committee released its third and final set of regional rankings of the season on Wednesday afternoon ahead of the Division II Baseball Selection Show on Sunday night on NCAA.com. West Chester (35-14) remained second in the final rankings as the Golden Rams remain in good position to potentially host the opening weekend of the Tournament next weekend.

Millersville (38-7) retained the top spot followed by West Chester in second, East Stroudsburg (35-13) in third and Seton Hill (35-13) in fourth with California (Pa.) (34-11) and Frostburg State (34-15) rounding out the top six. Shippensburg (28-21) and Slippery Rock (31-18) captured the final two spots in the final rankings as the first two teams out of the Tournament if play began today.

West Chester went 3-1 against Mansfield last week to conclude the regular season and will open its PSAC Tournament at 4:30 on Wednesday afternoon against California (Pa.) in an elimination game on the opening day of the PSAC Tournament. If West Chester can vanquish Cal in this evening's game, the Golden Rams will advance to the double elimination bracket when that begins on Thursday against the winner of the Millersville/Slippery Rock game tonight at 8 p.m.
