PHILADELPHIA- The Philadelphia Sports Information Directors Association (PhillySIDA) released its baseball Academic All-Area squad on Thursday afternoon, and
Avery Spencer (Pottsgrove, Pa./Pottsgrove) picked up his second Academic honor of the week after earning Collegiate Sports Communicators Academic All-District plaudits earlier this week.
The group is selected by votes from 30 four-year institutions within the Philadelphia metropolitan area.
To be considered for Academic All-Area recognition, individuals had to have at least a 3.3 GPA.
Spencer posted a .329 batting average in 2025 with 47 hits, including 12 multi-hit games and a seven-game hitting streak. The senior scored 31 runs and drove in 28 more and had seven multi-RBI games, including a three-RBI effort against Queens on March 13. He has also had an 18-game on-base streak and reached safely in each of the last five games of the season, finishing the year with eight walks and 17 hit-by-pitches. He posted a .955 fielding percentage and helped turn nine double plays after spending much of the season at third base and the latter half of the campaign in left field for head coach
