Box Score PHILADELPHIA- Zoe Haines (York, Pa./York Suburban) and
CeCe Isenberg (Berwick, Pa./Berwick) logged nine kills each to help the West Chester University women's volleyball team (10-2) get back in the win column with a 3-0 victory over Jefferson (5-5) on Saturday morning.
West Chester rebounded nicely from its setback on Friday night, hitting .237 for the match with 10 aces and 15 blocks to go along with its 36 kills in the three-set victory.
Bria Stepp (Cranberry Twp, Pa./Seneca Valley) and
Lacie Brown (Cochranville, Pa./Avon Grove) tied for the team lead in aces with three each, while
Julia Kwitchoff (Niagara Falls, N.Y./Niagara Wheatfield) was credited with two blocks.
West Chester and Jefferson traded points throughout the first set before a late run by West Chester lifted the Golden Rams to a 25-18 first-set victory.
In the second set, West Chester jumped out to a 13-7 lead before rattling off nine of the next 12 points to take a comfortable 20-10 lead over the Rams. West Chester closed out the set on a Jefferson service error to capture the set 25-14 and take a comfortable 2-0 lead in the match.
The third set was a back-and-forth affair once again, but West Chester on a mid-set run to break open the set and take a 19-13 lead after a
Megan Wolfe (Pine Grove, Pa./Pine Grove) ace. West Chester won six of the final nine points to leave Jefferson with a 25-16 third-set victory and a 3-0 win in the match.
Brown also led West Chester in assists and digs, finishing the match with 24 assists and eight digs.
Gabby Titus led Jefferson in kills with five, while Emily McKenna added four of her own in the loss.

West Chester will be back in action next weekend against Kutztown and East Stroudsburg with the match against Kutztown beginning at 6 p.m. on Friday night.
