UNIONVILLE, Pa.- Kristina Tapia (Ridley Park, Pa./Ridley) crossed the line in 19 minutes and 17.6 seconds to finish second individually and lead the West Chester University women's cross country team to a second-place team finish at the WCU Season Opener in Unionville on Friday evening.
Tapia was one of three Golden Rams in the top-10 as
Jessalyn Welsh (Enola, Pa./East Pennsboro) took fifth in 19:46.2, while
Abbie Williams (Huntley, Il/Huntley) was sixth in 19:48.4 and
Ellie Goldberg (West Deptford, N.J./West Deptford) was 10th in 20:08.1.
Maura Lenhart won the race for Kutztown in 18:51.3, which also helped the Golden Bears win the team crown in the season opener on Friday.
