WEST CHESTER, Pa.- The West Chester University women's track and field team is preparing for its second meet of 2026 this weekend at the Golden Rams head to familiar ground, Rauch Field House at Lehigh University, for the Moravian Hounds Indoor Classic on Saturday morning. West Chester returns to action on Saturday after a successful start to 2026 at the Alvernia Winter Invitational last weekend and had a great return to action after just over a month-long break from competition.
Last Time Out
Katja Larsen (Spring City, Pa./Owen J. Roberts) won the 60 meters in 7.81 seconds, followed by
Genevieve McDonald (Elizabethtown, Pa./Elizabethtown) in second in 7.84 seconds, after the duo also took second and first in the prelims in 7.90 and 7.91 seconds, respectively. Larsen and McDonald's efforts in the finals served as PSAC Qualifying times for both. Larsen picked up her second win of the day in the 200 with a time of 26.29 seconds, while McDonald was second in 26.40 seconds.
Cate Hildebrand (Chalfont, Pa./C.B. South) was next in fifth in 27.28 seconds to round out three Golden Rams in the top five in the 200.
Leah Wasko (Jim Thorpe, Pa./Jim Thorpe) punched her ticket to the PSAC Indoor Championships with a third-place finish in the 60-meter hurdles in 9.29 seconds. Wasko also picked up a top-five finish in the triple jump with a mark of 35-6 (10.82m).
Rebekah Burnshaw (Garnet Valley, Pa./Garnet Valley) took second in the 400 in 1:02.11 followed by Demi
Pavlides (Pottstown, Pa./Owen J. Roberts and Kaitlynn Keller (Dallas, Pa./Dallas) in fourth and fifth in 1:02.97 and 1:04.18, respectively.
West Chester finished fifth in the 4x400 with a time of 4:41.50.
Kaylie Groff (Palmyra, Pa./Palmyra) and Emily Donegan (Hershey, Pa./Hershey) led West Chester in the pole vault in fourth and sixth with marks of 10 feet 6 inches (3.20m), respectively.
Nikolien Bezuidenhout (Garnet Valley, Pa./Garnet Valley) finished second in the long jump with a mark of 17-6 ¾ (5.35m), which also served as PSAC Qualifying mark.
Emma Deyarmin (Leesport, Pa./Schuylkill Valley) led West Chester in the shot put in sixth with a mark of 36-9 ½ (11.21m) before also leading West Chester in the weight throw with a mark of 39-11 ½ (12.18m) to finish 14th.
