William & Mary vs West Chester - Women's Gymnastics Results
WEST CHESTER, PA – William & Mary turned in excellent performances on both the floor exercise and the balance beam, but host West Chester held off the visiting Tribe, 192.225-190.475, in an NCAA Women's Gymnastics meet inside Sturzebecker Health Science Center Saturday afternoon.

The Golden Rams' final two competitors on the floor,
Gianna Smith (Pittsburgh, Pa.) and
Lydia Stoner (Palmyra, Pa.), propelled West Chester back into the lead after the hosts had briefly fallen behind William & Mary earlier in the rotation. Smith, competing in the all-around secured her third personal-best of the afternoon with a 9.675 while Stoner finished up with a 9.65 as the final gymnast of the day.
Sarah Eskew (Pittsburgh, Pa.) won both the vault and the uneven bars while
Anna Lacey (Bethlehem, Pa.) took first place on the floor exercise with a 9.75.

West Chester started on the vault with William & Mary on the bars. The bottom of the lineup help up nicely for the Golden Rams. Eskew was the top scorer on the vault for the afternoon with a  9.775 and the top competitor on the bars with a 9.65.
Aly Subczak (Pottsgrove, N.J.) and Smith each hit personal bests on the vault with scores of 9.600 and 9.625, respectively. West Chester tied its season-best of 48.000 to take the early lead in the meet.

The Golden Rams put up a season-high on the uneven bars with a team score of 47.95. That effort was highlighted by Eskew's winning 9.65 and Smith's second of three career-best (9.625) that landed her second overall in the event. West Chester maintained its lead at the midway point of the meet with a 95.950 overall score through two rotations.

Smith hit her final personal best of the afternoon on the balance beam with a 9.700 that put her third overall.
Tatum McGuinn (Glen Mills, Pa.) posted a 9.75 that was second in the event. West Chester put up a team score of 48.25 on the beam which marked its second season-best in the first three rotations.

Lacey got things off to a good start on the floor with her winning performance. But, West Chester had to wait until the final two competitors to wrestle back the lead from its determined guests. Smith scored a 38.625 as the only competitor in the all-around category. That eclipsed her career high set one week earlier at George Washington.

West Chester will be back home inside Sturzebecker Health Science Center next Saturday at 1 p.m. when the Golden Rams take on SUNY Cortland in another dual meet.
