Five Things to Know
  1. West Chester enters play on Wednesday night following a hard-fought scoreless draw at Bloomsburg on Saturday afternoon as, despite a 3-1 lead in shots on goal, West Chester was unable to find the back of the net in the second meeting of the season against the Huskies. With this result, Bloomsburg remains in search of its first PSAC East win of the season, and West Chester captured the season series over the Huskies after picking up an important win on Rockwell earlier this fall.
  2. Jaden Howard (Townsend, Del./Middletown) made the one save he was called upon to make in the shutout on Saturday afternoon and is now 4-3-3 on the year with a 0.86 goals-against average and five shutouts in 11 games. Maksym Komperda (Whitehall, Pa./Allentown Central Catholic) leads the team in scoring with four goals and one assist for nine points after scoring in three of the last five games, while Lukas Bentsen (Erie, Pa./McDowell) and Peter Tichy (Bethlehem, Pa./Freedom) have three goals and one assist for seven points each.
  3. East Stroudsburg enters play on Wednesday night at 7-3-4 overall and 4-0-2 in league action following a 3-0 win at Shepherd on Saturday afternoon to halt a two-match winless streak after playing to 1-1 draws against Bloomsburg and Lackawanna. Steven Arias leads the Warriors in scoring with eight goals and one assist for 17 points, while Jeter Cardona has four goals and five assists for 13 points on the season. Ryan Kiernan has four goals and an assist for nine points of his own. In goal, Phil Sykes is 4-2-3 with a 1.05 goals-against average and a hand in three shutouts, including a three-save shutout performance at Shepherd on Saturday.
  4. The first NCAA Power Index rankings of the year were released for Division II men's soccer on Monday morning. East Stroudsburg finds itself 10th in the first rankings with an NPI of 54.855, while West Chester finds itself 22nd with an NPI of 50.948 in the first release of the 2026 season. Full rankings available here.
  5. West Chester fell to East Stroudsburg at home by a 1-0 final earlier this fall and trails 49-43-19 in the all-time series against the Warriors. West Chester earned its first road win over ESU since 2019 last fall but fell in the series finale at home by 1-0, as the Golden Rams searched for their first sweep of the Warriors since 2019.
