LIVE STATS

INDIANA, PA – No. 5 West Chester heads west to take on No. 7 Indiana (Pa.) Saturday at 1 p.m. at Frank Cignetti Field at George P. Miller Stadium to begin what has turned into a pivotal final four-game stretch of the regular season.

  1. West Chester (8-5, 1-4) is fighting for its postseason lives during this final stretch. The Golden Rams are currently tied for eighth place in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference standings with one of those teams they are chasing being IUP (9-3, 3-1). The top six teams in the final regular-season standings will make up the 2026 PSAC Tournament, which gets under way on Tuesday, Nov. 10 with quarterfinal round matches.
  2. The bad news …the Golden Rams are in eighth place in league standings with just one PSAC win. The good news … they play three teams who are right in front of them in the league standings, and then last-place team. This four-game stretch, though three of them are on the road, holds the potential for a sweep that would certainly boost the Golden Rams' chances at the playoffs.
  3. In terms of the NCAA Tournament, West Chester is ranked fifth in the latest Atlantic Region poll and the selection committee will pick three at-large teams after it determines the two automatic qualifiers. IUP is also fighting for positioning in the polls as well. Saturday's game holds much more importance than just the PSAC Tournament. A trip to the NCAAs is also on the line.
  4. Though West Chester has lost four of its last five contests, they have not been playing poorly at all. Quite the contrary. The purple & gold has been right in every contest. The Golden Rams are coming off a 3-1 setback to No. 1 Kutztown on Tuesday. However, West Chester scored the first goal of the match, marking the first time all year that Kutztown trailed in a game.
  5. Defender, Anna Finn (Windsor, N.Y./Windsor), scored her 10th goal of the season against Kutztown and is among the conference's leading scorers. She is also among the nation's top defenders in scoring.

West Chester travels to Millersville next Wednesday evening for another PSAC contest. That start time is set at 6 p.m.
