5 Things to Know: Women's Tennis to Host Bryn Mawr on Tuesday Afternoon

WEST CHESTER, Pa.- The West Chester University women's tennis team (2-0) will look to continue its unbeaten start to the 2026-27 season on Tuesday afternoon when the Golden Rams host Bryn Mawr (1-2) on South Campus beginning at 4 p.m.

Five Things to Know
  1. West Chester returns to the court on Tuesday following a 5-2 victory over St. Thomas Aquinas on Thursday afternoon in West Chester. The Golden Rams won two of three doubles points and four of six singles matches, including a pair of dominant wins by Barbara Grimaldi and Sohana Thompson with 6-1, 6-1 and 6-0, 6-0 victories at fourth and sixth singles, respectively.
  2. Bryn Mawr opened its fall slate with a 5-2 win over Rutgers-Camden but has dropped each of its last two matches since that time, falling to Messiah (5-2) and Lebanon Valley (4-3) on September 26 and October 3, respectively. Tuesday's match is scheduled as Bryn Mawr's final match of the fall season.
  3. West Chester is 4-0 against Bryn Mawr since 2009, including a 4-3 road victory over the Owls last October. West Chester also picked up a 7-0 win over Bryn Mawr at home in March 2025 in the Owls' most recent visit to West Chester.
  4. Tuesday looks to be an excellent day for tennis in the Delaware Valley with a forecasted high of 62 and low winds under mostly sunny skies.
  5. West Chester will finish its fall slate at the ITA Atlantic Regional Championships at Bloomsburg, beginning on October 15.
