Men's Track and Field to Get Busy Weekend Underway on Friday in Boston

WEST CHESTER, Pa.- The West Chester University men's track and field team is preparing for another busy weekend of action as the Golden Rams will compete in both Boston and Philadelphia this weekend, beginning on Friday. West Chester will send a small contingent to Boston for the David Hemery Valentine Invitational, while the remainder of the team will head back to the Ott Center on the campus of the University of Pennsylvania for the Widener Indoor Classic on Friday and Saturday.

With PSAC Championships fast approaching at the end of the month, West Chester heads into the weekend following a strong showing from a small group of Golden Rams at the Fast Track National Invitational at Ocean Breeze last Friday.

Last Time Out

Joshua Shuler (Stroudsburg, Pa./Stroudsburg) led West Chester in the 60-meter dash with a 22nd-place finish in 7.26 seconds.

Aiden Schwartz (Allentown, N.J./Allentown) finished 29th in the mile in 4:28.13.

Terry Dweh (Darby, Pa./Penn Wood) led West Chester in the 400 with a sixth-place finish in 49.51, while Bishop Lane (Wilmington, Del./Salesianum) was 15th in 50.12. Dweh also led West Chester in the 200 with a 12th-place finish 22.10 seconds, while Evan McCracken (Johnstown, Pa./Richland) placed 21st in 22.29 seconds.

Sam Leisenring (Downingtown, Pa./Downingtown West) led West Chester in the 3K with a 25th-place finish in 9:20.52.

Jacob Joslin (West Chester, Pa./West Chester East) led West Chester in the shot put with a fifth-place finish and a mark of 48 feet 4 inches (14.73m), while Brodyn Wolfert (Marlton, N.J./Cherokee) led West Chester in the weight throw with a fourth-place finish and a mark of 49-5 (15.05m).

Thomas Smith (Wallingford, Pa./Cardinal O'Hara) finished 16th in the weight throw with a mark of 42-5 (12.94m).

Xavier Campbell (Carlisle, Pa./Carlisle) led West Chester in the triple jump with a 10th-place finish and a mark of 43-9 ¼ (13.34m).

West Chester wrapped up its day at Ocean Breeze with a 13th-place finish in the 4x400 in 3:30.24, which was fourth fastest in its heat.
