Welcome Home

Thursday looks to be the warmest day of the week to date, with highs in the upper 40s under mostly cloudy skies with wind speeds below 10 miles per hour. The week is expected to warm up through the weekend, with a high of 71 forecast for Sunday.

Scouting Wilmington

Wilmington enters play 10-2 on the year after a 4-2 win over Jefferson in the CACC Finals back on October 19, which was also the last time the Wildcats were on the court. Wilmington was to open its spring campaign on Monday in our nation's capital against the University of the District of Columbia but that match was postponed due to rain. Molly Carlberg is a team-best 10-1 in singles play, while Gloria Barcaro is 8-2 followed by Ming-Fu Chen at 8-1.  Siana McDonald is 7-3 in singles action and a team-best 10-2 in doubles action, while Elana Camacho is 7-3 in her doubles matches this season.

Scouting Goldey Beacom

Goldey Beacom enters its spring opener on Friday afternoon at 5-6 on the year after falling to Wilmington in the CACC Tournament on October 18 in its final match of the fall and most recent match. Prior to this loss to Wilmington, Goldey-Beacom was 4-1 in its last five, including 6-1, 5-2, and 7-0 wins, with the lone blemish during this stretch being a 6-1 loss at Wilmington in Mid-October.

Camilla Franzin and Jenna Frank lead the team in singles play at 6-1 and 6-4, while the doubles duo of Franzin and Lucia Corte is 6-1 at first doubles.
