ORLANDO, Fl.- The West Chester University men's tennis team departed Pennsylvania on Friday for sunny Orlando, Florida, for the Golden Rams' annual Spring Break trip to the Sunshine State, which will see the team play four matches against Eckerd, Hampden-Sydney, Washington College, and Case Western Reserve, beginning on Sunday against Eckerd.

Jumping Into It
West Chester will return from Florida following its match against Case Western Reserve on Friday and open up at home early the following week against Yeshiva and Penn State-Harrisburg on March 17 and 18 before opening league play against Millersville on the road on March 25 at 3 p.m.
Scouting the Opposition
Eckerd (2-4)
Eckerd enters Sunday 2-4 on the year following a 4-3 loss to Davenport on Thursday after a 7-0 win over Walsh at home on Tuesday to halt a two-game losing streak, which included a 6-1 loss to No. 1 Barry. Mario Kirkov and Amirali Ghavam are both 10-4 on the year in singles play, while the duos of Ghavam and Batu Ataseven and Marshall Hulett and Adriann Gheorge are 9-3 and 8-3, respectively.
Hampen-Sydney (1-2)
Hampen Sydney is 1-2 on the year after a 7-0 win over William Peace at home on Wednesday, which halted a two-match losing streak to Belmont Abbey and Washington (Md.) to open the spring season. Thomas Davis and Dillon McReynolds lead the team in singles at 3-2 on the year, with Davis going 2-1 at first singles. In doubles play, the duos of Davis and McReynolds and Jonathan Fogle and Slade Funderburk are 2-1 and 2-0, respectively.
Washington College (Md.) (3-2)
Washington College enters next week following a weekend sweep of Randolph (4-3) and Hampden Sydney (5-2) on February 28 and March 1, which helped the team avoid a losing streak after a loss to Catholic and improve to 3-2 on the year. Kohl Perkins boasts the best singles record on the team at 6-1, while Petter Storbeg and Jorge Urgal Zuleta are a team-best 6-2 in doubles play.
Case Western Reserve (11-2)
CWRU enters the week at 11-2 overall after a 4-3 win over Grand Valley State on Sunday in Detroit. CWRU has a packed schedule ahead of itself as the team will compete 10 times before they see West Chester on Friday. Santiago Salazar Garza is a team-best 15-4 in singles play, while Josh Davydov is 13-2 along with Matthew Plunkett, who is 11-6. The doubles duo of Jon Totorica and Leon Chen is a team-best 15-4, while Trey Lambright and Bryce Ware are 12-3, including a 6-2 mark at first doubles.
