FROSTBURG, Md.- The West Chester University women's tennis team (8-7, 2-1) is finishing its preparations for its final road match of the 2025-26 regular season as the Golden Rams visit Frostburg State (10-8) on Saturday afternoon beginning at 2 p.m. West Chester has three regular season matches left on the calendar as the team will visit Frostburg State and host Bloomsburg and Kutztown in West Chester next Tuesday and Wednesday to conclude the regular season.

Last Time Out
After a four-match winning streak, which began in late March and stretched into early April, West Chester has dropped each of its last three matches, including a 4-3 loss at home to East Stroudsburg on Wednesday to conclude a four-match homestand. West Chester got out to an early lead in this match with a 2-1 win in doubles and a retirement victory to start singles, but ESU roared back and won four of the remaining five singles matches to escape West Chester with a narrow 4-3 victory.
Alexandra Cave won her fourth singles match by a 6-1, 6-0 final, but it was not enough to defeat the PSAC East-leading Warriors.
The Series
West Chester holds a slim 2-1 lead in the all-time series over Frostburg State with wins in the first two meetings in 2022 (7-0) and 2023 (4-3) before falling to the Bobcats at home in April 2024 by a 5-2 final.

Scouting Frostburg State
Frostburg State enters play on Friday against West Virginia State at 10-8 overall and 2-2 in Mountain East Conference action with wins in three of its last four matches, including a 5-2 win over West Liberty, a 6-1 win over UDC, and a 5-2 win over Davis & Elkins around a 4-3 loss to West Virginia Wesleyan on April 10.
