WEST CHESTER, Pa. – The West Chester University men's track and field squad is set to return to action this weekend in split squad competition once again at the William & Mary Colonial Relays and the Ursinus College Track and Field Festival on Friday and Saturday.

On Friday night at Widener,
Thomas Smith (Wallingford, Pa./Cardinal O'Hara) finished 10th in the shot put with a mark of 35 feet 10 inches (13.97 meters), while
Brodyn Wolfert (Marlton, N.J./Cherokee) won the discus with a mark of 158-10 (48.41m), which served as a new personal best and a PSAC Qualifying mark. Wolfert also placed 15th in the hammer on Saturday afternoon with a personal-best mark of 154-6 (47.1m).
Chase Parkinson (West Chester, Pa./Henderson) led West Chester in the triple jump with a third-place finish and a PSAC Qualifying mark with a mark of 46-11 ½ (14.31m) to highlight a strong Friday night for the Golden Rams field event group.
On Saturday,
Collin Niedrowski (Wyomissing, Pa./Wyomissing) picked up another field event victory for West Chester in the javelin with a mark of 193-6 (58.98m), which served as a new personal best and the fourth best performance in team history. This effort also served as a new PSAC Qualifying mark.
Jake Jones (Gibsonia, Pa./Pine-Richland) and Seth Tshudy (Phoenixville, Pa./Great Valley) finished in a tie for third in the pole vault with marks of 13-5 ¼ (4.10m).
On the track on Saturday, West Chester started its day with a second-place finish in the 4x100 in 42.01 seconds, while
Ege Gunyadin (Delran, N.J./Delran) took 10th in the 110 hurdles in 15.74 seconds.
Bishop Lane (Wilmington, Del./Salesianum) led West Chester in the 400 in 50.19 seconds to finish 20th.
Andre Jackson-Littlejohn (Royersford, Pa./Spring-Ford) took seconds in the 100-meter dash in 10.85 seconds (10.848), finishing just a fraction of a second behind Nico Gasque from East Stroudsburg, who crossed the line in 10.847 seconds. This effort served as a PSAC Qualifying time for Jackson-Littlejohn.
Billy Zane (Springfield, Pa./Springfield DELCO) led West Chester in the 800 with a third-place finish in 1:55.09, which also served as a PSAC Qualifying time.
Louie Edgecumbe (West Chester, Pa./Bishop Shanahan) also led West Chester in the 5K in 15:41.24.
Brayden Teufel (Furlong, Pa./C.B. West) took fourth in the 400 hurdles in 55.69 seconds, which also served as a PSAC Qualifying time.
Lane and
Evan McCracken (Johnstown, Pa./Richland) both picked up top-10 finishes in the 200 in eighth and ninth in 22.05 and 22.12 seconds, respectively.
Nicholas Tran (Lancaster, Pa./Conestoga Valley) took 13th in 22.18 seconds.
West Chester wrapped up its weekend on the track with a third-place finish in the 4x400 relay in 3:25.66.
