No. 10 West Chester Cruises Past IUP in PSAC Quarterfinals

WEST CHESTER, PALile McMahon-Skates (West Linn, Ore./West Linn) and Kendall Fortune (Jarrettsville, Md./North Harford) each scored six goals to lead 11th-ranked West Chester to a 20-6 victory over visiting IUP in the quarterfinals of the PSAC Women's Lacrosse Tournament Tuesday afternoon.

West Chester (15-3) scored the first six goals of the contest and never looked back against Indiana University of PA (9-9). McMahon-Skates registered her 200th career point finishing with seven points in the win while Fortune's six-goal outing marked a new game-high for the Old Line State native.

The Golden Rams advance to the PSAC Semifinals to take on No. 7 Slippery Rock (18-0) at Michalek-Thompson Stadium on Friday afternoon at 1 p.m. West Chester dropped a 13-12 decision at home to Slippery Rock in the first game of the 2026 season.

Madeline Edinger (Perkasie, Pa./Pennridge), Sydney Wasdick (Pottsgrove, Pa./Pottsgrove) and Marissa Herring (Landenberg, Pa./Kennett Square) each scored two goals while Edinger and Wasdick added two assists. Herring finished with one assist for a three-point game. Wasdick – much like McMahon-Skates – also registered her 200th career point in the win. Gianna Booker (Marlton, N.J./Cherokee) scored a goal and assisted on two others. She also secured two draw controls. Avery Roberts (Mantua, N.J./Clearview) scored the other goal for the Golden Rams.

Goalkeeper Morgan Koons (Mountain Top, Pa./Crestwood) recorded 11 saves for the second straight game and third time this year to improve to 13-1 on the season in the cage. She raised her save percentage on the year to .465 by recording a save percentage above .600 in five of her last six outings.

IUP was led offensively by Mia Martorano and Maggie Boyle, who each scored twice. Martorano added an assist as well. Starting goalkeeper, Lauren Legrand, made eight saves in 48 minutes in the cage. Mia Courtalis was credited with one save in 12 minutes of action in the middle of the game.
