WEST CHESTER, PA - West Chester University student athletes continued to show their excellence in the classroom as well as on the field of play last year as the university announced that 480 student-athletes have been selected to the 2026 WCU Athletic Director's Academic Honor Roll.

The 480 recipients marks the seventh straight year in which more than 400 student-athletes dotted the scroll. But, more importantly, it also equals the school record established in 2023-24.

The honor roll consists of student-athletes from all 24 of West Chester University's varsity athletic teams, as well as the cheerleading squad. Student-athletes earn placement on the honor roll by attaining a cumulative grade-point average of 3.00, or by recording a 3.0 GPA for the spring semester.
West Chester has put at least 400 students on the Athletic Director's honor roll eight times – all of those within the last nine years. The athletic director's office has published an academic honor roll every year since 2006. This marks the 21st year in which the WCU AD Academic Honor Roll has been released.
