WEST CHESTER, Pa.- The West Chester University men's soccer team (1-2-2, 1-1-0) returns to action on Saturday afternoon for its long-awaited home opener against PSAC East rival Bloomsburg (4-2-1, 0-1-0) on Rockwell Field at 2:30 p.m. This matchup with the Huskies will be the second game of a Saturday doubleheader on Rockwell Field, as the West Chester women's soccer team will take the field first against Mansfield beginning at 12 p.m.

Five Things to Know
- Saturday's match will be the Golden Rams home opener after the original home opener against Jefferson in late August was postponed and eventually canceled due to lightning in the area.
- West Chester fell to 1-2-2 overall and 1-1-0 in league action against Millersville on Wednesday night as the Golden Rams fell to the Marauders on the road by a 2-1 final. Millersville scored a pair of goals in the first 53 minutes of the match, and despite Peter Tichy (Bethlehem, Pa./Freedom) scoring his third goal in two games, West Chester dropped to 1-1-0 in league action after opening league play with a win over Shippensburg on Saturday. Jaden Howard (Townsend, Del./Middletown) made a pair of first-half saves in the setback.
- With his hot start to PSAC East play, Tichy now leads the Golden Rams in scoring with three goals for six points, while Lukas Bentsen (Erie, Pa./McDowell) is close behind with two goals and an assist for five points on the season. Howard is 1-1-1 with a 1.14 goals-against average and a shutout in four matches.
- Bloomsburg, who was ranked as high as eighth in Division II men's soccer in early September, enters play on Saturday at 4-2-1 on the year and 0-1-0 in league play after dropping its PSAC East opener to Shippensburg on September 9th. Bloomsburg followed that with a 1-1 draw against longtime PSAC East foe turned PSAC West member Lock Haven, then got back in the win column on Wednesday with a 4-0 win over Lackawanna for its first victory since a 3-0 triumph over Goldey-Beacom on September 5th. Owen Hollobaugh and Logan Savage are tied for the team lead in scoring with two goals and an assist each for five points, while Andrew Beagle and Nick Guzak also have two goals to their name early in the 2026 season. In goal, Ryan Moroney is 2-1-0 with a 1.37 goals-against average in three starts, while Drew Offenberg is 2-1-1 with a 1.27 goals-against average in 354 minutes of action, including four starts.
- West Chester is 33-19-9 against Bloomsburg all-time after picking up a hard-fought split with the Huskies last season, including a 1-0 win in West Chester when Bloomsburg was ranked 13th in Division II men's soccer. West Chester is 22-8-4 against Bloomsburg in West Chester and has not lost to the Huskies at home since September 2011, when the Huskies were on a four-game winning streak over the Golden Rams.
