Men's Golf Set for Sunnehanna Collegiate

JOHNSTOWN, Pa.- Following its second team title in as many tournaments last week in Gettysburg, the West Chester University men's golf team is set to return to the course on Monday for the opening rounds of the Sunnehanna Collegiate at Sunnehanna Country Club, the home of the 2026 NCAA Atlantic/East Regional Championships last Spring, in Johnstown. Monday's opening round will begin at 8:30 a.m.

Last Time Out

West Chester won the rain-shortened WCU Battlefield Classic last week with a first-round score of 296, which led the Golden Rams to the team title, while the second team of Golden Rams, led by Nathan Radwanski, who captured the individual crown in a playoff, finished second with a score of 299. Radwanski fired a one-under 71 in Monday's opening round and won the individual crown with a birdie on the first playoff hole on Tuesday after the second round was canceled due to rain and resulting course conditions.

We Are Honored

Nathan Radwanski earned PSAC Men's Golf Athlete of the Week honors for this individual crown, marking the first time in his career he was honored by the league office.

The Return to Johnstown

West Chester makes its annual trip to Johnstown for the Sunnehanna Collegiate after finishing its 2025-26 season in Johnstown at the NCAA Regional Championships last May. Last May, West Chester finished ninth on the team leaderboard with a 54-hole score of 884 (295, 293, 296), led by Yamato Kimura, who finished 22nd at +7 (71, 71, 73) as one of two Golden Rams in the top 25.

The Lineup

West Chester's lineup includes Evan Jozwiak, Nathan Radwanski, Patrick Carl, William Hilton, and Yamato Kimura. Vaughn Brodowski will compete as an individual.

The Field

West Chester is part of a large field in Johnstown this week as the Golden Rams will be joined by Gannon, Millersville, Hillsdale, Wheeling, St. Thomas Aquinas, Ohio Dominican, Catawba, Fairmont State, California (Pa.), Adelphi, Glenville State, IUP, Davis & Elkins, Lee, Pitt-Johnstown, and Rollins.

Monday and Tuesday look rain-free in Johnstown, with highs in the 60s under cloudy skies both days.
