LOCK HAVEN, Pa.- The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) released its men's golf weekly awards on Wednesday afternoon, and senior
Evan Jozwiak (Sinking Spring, Pa./Wilson) was named PSAC Men's Golf Athlete of the Week.
Jozwiak was the top PSAC finisher and one of just two Atlantic Region golfers to finish under par after 54 holes at the Sunnehanna Collegiate at Sunnehanna Country Club this week. Jozwiak started his week with a three-under 67 in Monday morning's opening round and followed this up with back-to-back even-par rounds of 70 to finish fourth on the individual leaderboard and help lead West Chester to a fifth-place finish at Sunnehanna.
Jozwiak carded 13 birdies over the course of three rounds at Sunnehanna and finished second in the field in birdies, trailing only the eventual Champion, Billy Boroughs of Lee, who carded 16 over his three rounds. Jozwiak ranked in a tie for third in the field in par-three scoring average at 2.93 (-1) and tied for sixth in par-four scoring average at 3.93 (-2).
This marks the second week in a row in which West Chester has had the PSAC Golfer of the Week as
Nathan Radwanski was honored by the league office last week.
West Chester returns to the course on October 5-6 in Ohio for the Kyle Ryman Memorial hosted by Tiffin ahead of the PSAC Championships at Iron Valley beginning on October 16.
