Gifted right-hander, who will be looking to earn either the No. 3 or No. 4 spot in the weekend rotation … induces ground balls from opposing hitters regularly … owns good command of three pitches ... can throw any of his three pitches in all counts … competitor on the mound … has a knack for winning.

2008: Posted a 5-1 record with a 4.70 ERA in 15 appearances ... started five games and completed one ... struck out 31 batters in 38 innings of work ... opponents hit .245 against him ... did not allow a home run all year.

2007: Played for Louisburg Jr. College ... posted an 8-1 record at Louisburg with a 1.21 ERA ... led the team in both categories.
