West Chester’s quarterback Andrew Derr (Willow Grove, Pa./Upper Dublin) now owns several single-game records for his efforts against Edinboro on Saturday.
The junior completed 39 of 70 passes for 559 yards, which are all program records. Derr managed to provide four passing touchdowns as well for the Golden Rams.
His 70 attempts shattered Dave McDonalds’ 57 attempts back in 1994 against Millersville. Derr’s 39 completions and 559 yards surpassed Mike Mitros in both categories, which stood for 18 years.
Additionally, the signal caller helped lead the squad to a school record 563 yards of total offense.
Despite his record setting performance, the Golden Rams fell to the Fighting Scots, 54-51.
West Chester's 108 plays for 758 yards are both new school records as well.
