Nick Ward (Kennett Square, Pa./Unionville) had a great week to end the final regular season of his collegiate career as he went 8-for-15 with eight RBIs, nine runs scored and three home runs to help lead West Chester to a sweep of Mansfield and a PSAC Eastern Division title. Ward began his week on Friday afternoon against Mansfield when he went 6-for-11 with six RBIs and six runs scored with two home runs and a walk. Â Ward stayed hot on Saturday as he went 2-for-4Â with another two RBIs, three runs scored, another home run and another two walks, which helped West Chester take the final two games of the series over Mansfield. Ward now has 13 home runs on the season, which is good enough to tie him for first with Matt Baer (2010) and Blair Dameron (2009) for most home runs by a West Chester player in a single season.
