Destiny Jefferson (Scranton, Pa./West Scranton) had a great week this week to help West Chester go 1-1 on the week. Jefferson began her week with a historic performance opposite East Stroudsburg on Wednesday evening as she poured in 33 points, which is the most a Golden Ram has scored since the 2004 season when Kiesha Mack registered 33 in a victory over Bloomsburg. This performance makes Jefferson just the third Golden Ram in the last two seasons to eclipse the 30-point barrier as Camden Boehner and Porscha Speller scored 32 points and 31 points, respectively in the first half of the 2017 season. This performance is also the most a Golden Ram has registered in a PSAC East game since Dallas Ely dropped 32 in a victory over Shippensburg in February 2014. This is also the second highest scoring output by a PSAC East player this season and it is the highest a PSAC East player has scored in a PSAC East contest in the 2018-19 season. In addition to her 33 points, Jefferson also registered seven rebounds and three steals to help West Chester earn its fifth win in a row. On Saturday afternoon, West Chester welcomed Shippensburg to Hollinger Field House and Jefferson performed well once again as she ended the game as the Golden Rams second-leading scorer and third amongst all scorers with 14 points, four rebounds, two assists, and another three steals.Â
