No. 4 West Chester Runs Past Millersville, 21-4

MILLERSVILLE, Pa. No. 4 West Chester scored the first 10 goals of the contest Wednesday afternoon en route to an easy 21-4 victory over homestanding Millersville in a PSAC East contest at Chryst Field.

Stephanie Kienle scored all three of her goals on the day within the first 13 minutes of the tilt to spark West Chester (2-0) on its devastating run early. Millersvilles Amy Longenecker ended the Golden Rams streak with 4:08 to play in the first half, putting the Marauders on the board for the first time.

Jackie Baker tied a career-high with six goals in the game, while Chrissy Kane scored five times and added two assists. Kienle and Stephanie Bell each tallied three times. Bell recorded a natural hat trick, scoring three consecutive goals for West Chester with a 5:27 span of the second half.

Mary Beth Green played all 60 minutes in goal for the Golden Rams, making nine saves, to pick up her first win of the season. Patty Wesolek started in the cage for the Marauders and made 16 saves while allowing all 21 goals in 54 minutes of action. Katie Magliochetti went the rest of the way and registered one save.

Mandy Masoner scored twice and Nicole Haines and Kate McQuade each scored a goal as well. Joann Caminiti and Longenecker each scored twice for Millersville.

West Chester will now prepare for perhaps its toughest road contest of the season when it travels to No. 3 Lock Haven on Saturday for a 1 p.m. faceoff.
