BLOOMSBURG, Pa. West Chester upped its winning streak to six straight with a convincing 22-2 victory over host Bloomsburg in womens lacrosse Saturday afternoon.
The second-ranked Golden Rams (6-0, 4-0 PSAC) scored the games first seven goals and ran out to an 11-2 advantage by the end of the first half. Bloomsburg was shut out in the second half and mustered just five shots on West Chesters cage.
Stephanie Kienle finished with 12 points, scoring five goals and assisting on seven others. Fellow attack
Jackie Baker scored five goals as well to pace West Chesters devastating offense.
Chrissy Kane registered a hat trick.
Mary Beth Green played all 60 minutes in the cage, registering nine saves to improve to 5-0 on the year. He was called upon to make just three saves in the second half.
Courtney Whiting and
Gina DiDomenicis each posted two goals for the Rams. DiDomenicis also picked up an assist. Also scoring for West Chester was
Lauren Tatios (1G, 1A),
Alyse Kullman (1G, 1A) and
Amelia Reed (1G, 1A).
Mandy Masoner and
Nicole Haines also scored a goal.
West Chester closed out the game with 11 straight goals.
The Golden Rams are off until they travel to Slippery Rock on Tuesday and Indiana, Pa. on Wednesday.
