No. 2 West Chester Dispatches East Stroudsburg, 19-3

WEST CHESTER, Pa. - On a frigid Saturday afternoon, West Chesters second-ranked womens lacrosse team cruised to a 19-3 decision over East Stroudsburg.

Nicole Haines scored five goals and registered one assist for the Golden Rams (9-0, 7-0 PSAC) and Stephanie Kienle recorded two goals and posted five assists to lead the offensive charge. In all, 11 Golden Rams found the back of the cage.

Chrissy Kane scored three goals and finished with four points while Stephanie Bell came off the bench, netting two goals and three points. Kanes hat trick came during the opening 16:57 of play.

West Chester wasted no time scoring, burying five goals during the first six minutes of the contest. East Stroudsburg (2-5, 1-5) scored its only goal of the first half with 18:38 remaining, and then the Golden Rams notched seven unanswered tallies to take a 12-1 advantage into the break.

Renee Maniscaldo scored two Warrior goals and Becca Angelucci added the final tally for East Stroudsburg. Two of the Warriors three markers came off of free position shots.

Mary Beth Green (7-0) started the game in goal and played all 60 minutes for the Golden Rams. She allowed three goals and made seven saves. Kirstin Mayberry started in the cage for the Warriors and made 19 saves while allowing 19 goals in 60 minutes of action.

West Chester continues its home stretch on Tuesday, April 10 for a 4 p.m. showdown with No. 1 C.W. Post. That match is the second contest of a four-game homestand for the Golden Rams.
