WEST CHESTER, Pa. – Matt Baer hit a grand slam, and both Matt Cotellese and Kyle Orensky homered to lead host West Chester to a 21-3 victory over visiting Lincoln in a non-league baseball contest at Serpico Stadium Wednesday afternoon.
West Chester (18-8) scored 11 runs in the second inning to break open a one-run ballgame by taking advantage of six walks and a bases-clearing double by Cotellese. Blair Dameron also doubled in a run, and Nick Spisak singled in two to highlight the frame.
The Golden Rams sent seven different pitchers to the mound in the win with starter Greg Ball (2-0) picking up the decision.
Baer hit is first college home run during a six-run fourth. Cotellese finished with four RBI and Orensky had three RBI. Baer knocked in five runs.
