WEST CHESTER, Pa. – West Chester fell to visiting Richmond 2-0 in an Atlantic 10 conference game on a cold, windy afternoon at Vonnie Gros field on the campus of West Chester University.
West Chester (5-10, 1-3 Atlantic 10) dropped its fourth straight match this afternoon with the lost to Richmond (7-9, 2-2 Atlantic 10) who visits La Salle on Sunday.
Richmond received goals from Dani Pycroft and Jessica Hollis, assists from Katelin Peterson and Chelsea Davies. With Pyrcoft’s goal, she now has eight goals on the season which leads the Spiders. Peterson leads Richmond with 19 points on the season.
Kristin Arnold (4-5) received the loss in the cage for the Golden Rams, allowing two goals and registering six saves. Anna Zarkoski (4-4) went the distance for Richmond, recording three saves and the win.
Richmond outshot West Chester 12-5 in the game.
West Chester will travel to Lock Haven for an Atlantic 10 conference game on Sunday afternoon at 12 p.m.
