Every day, more than 70,000 people in Chester County go to bed hungry. The Chester County Food Bank is the lead food agency for the county. They are a non-profit organization that distributes over 1.2 million pounds of food each year. They have special programs for seniors and children, families and singles. From gleaning to gardening, food drives to preparing food in their commercial kitchen, the food bank works to alleviate hunger and create pathways to improve health and education in order to reduce poverty in Chester County. Through a network of 27 food cupboards, 36 agencies and the generosity of everyone in the county, we can make the difference between someone who is hungry and someone who has enough to eat.
