No. 7 West Chester Tops No. 9 Gannon In 3 OTs, 12-11

ERIE, Pa.
– For the second straight game, West Chester University’s women’s lacrosse team went into sudden-death triple overtime to pull out a non-conference victory, topping host Gannon University, 12-11, on Saturday afternoon.

West Chester (12-0) picked up its second straight overtime win over a nationally ranked opponent with the win at Gannon (7-5).

Claire Grimwood broke out of her shooting slump with four goals to lead West Chester in scoring. Katy Crouse scored twice.

Mackenzie O’Keefe made 12 saves in the cage for the Golden Rams.

Grimwood scored the game-winner with 1:13 left on an unassisted effort. Gannon had forced the sudden-death period with a tally from Taryn Millerd with just 20 seconds remaining in the second OT.
