EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. - West Chester University used another stellar second-half performance to pull away from a pesky East Stroudsburg University group en route to a 16-9 women's lacrosse victory on Wednesday afternoon.
West Chester (15-0, 9-0 PSAC East) outscored East Stroudsburg (10-6, 5-4), 9-2, in the second half after holding a slim, 7-6, advantage.
Claire Grimwood scored four goals and Erin Oczkowski put up six points on the strength of five assists. Nicole Haines and Shannon Hayes each posted three points with two goals and one assist. Lauren Glassey and Nicole Pyle each contributed a pair of goals as well.
Julia Walsh had one goal and one assist while Theresa Giunta and Katy Crouse each scored a goal.
MacKenzie O'Keefe (11-0) made nine saves in the cage for West Chester.
The Golden Rams conclude the regular-season portion of their schedule on Saturday night at Millersville at 7 p.m.
