Lock Haven Men Top West Chester, 1-0

LOCK HAVEN, Pa.
- Lock Haven's Martin Pletz headed in a feed off a corner kick in the 20th minute to lead host Lock Haven to a 1-0 win over visiting West Chester University in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference opener for both schools. 

West Chester (2-1, 0-1 PSAC) saw its modest two-game win streak come to a close with the setback. Lock Haven (2-2, 1-0) evened its overall record on the year with the win.

Senior goalkeeper Peter Weiss (2-1) played 76 minutes and made five saves. Sophomore Kevin Marron came on and played the remaining 14 minutes, recording two saves. Lock Haven's Zach Hubler went the distance and made three saves.

West Chester hosts Slippery Rock on Saturday in its next contest. Game time is set for noon with the women's game to follow at 2:30 p.m.
