WEST CHESTER, Pa. – Alex Lennon and Allison Hostetter each scored 16 points for host West Chester, but a furious second half rally was spoiled by visiting Edinboro in overtime, 81-74, in a PSAC crossover contest inside Hollinger Field House Saturday afternoon.
West Chester (8-3) trailed by 21 (58-37) with 9:10 remaining in the game, but outscored Edinboro (9-1) 32-11 the rest of the way to end regulation tied at 69-apiece. The Fighting Scots outscored the Golden Rams 12-5 in the extra session to earn the win.
Sr., G Megan Stewart scored 10 points, dished out six assists and registered three steals, hitting two milestones in the process. She became just the second player in WCU history to reach 400 career assists while also going over 900 points for her career. Her three steals leaves her one shy (280) of the school mark held by Cecilia Rodden (1984-87).
