Kentucky Wesleyan Gets Best Of West Chester, 12-4

WINTER HAVEN, Fla. - Joe Wendle went 4-for-5 with a triple and three runs scored, and Reid Pulford and Josh Heyne each knocked in a pair of runs. However, Kentucky Wesleyan came away with a 12-4 non-league win Sunday in West Chester's final game down south during spring break.

West Chester (5-6) finished just under .500 for its 11 games in the Sunshine State. However, the Golden Rams dropped three extra-inning contests to a nationally ranked opponent each time.

Sunday, Wendle recorded his first four-hit game of the season and scored three of the Rams' four runs.

Anthony Clemens (1-2) suffered the loss on the mound, surrendering three runs, two of them earned, on four hits.

West Chester will open its northern schedule at home on Tuesday afternoon against Wilmington (Del.) at Serpico Stadium. First pitch is set for 3 p.m.
