BROOKVILLE, N.Y. - Eighth-ranked C.W. Post topped visiting sixth-ranked West Chester, 19-11, in a non-conference women's lacrosse match Tuesday afternoon.
West Chester (12-3) dropped its second straight non-league tilt against a nationally ranked opponent on Long Island after falling at Dowling last Monday. C.W. Post (10-2) picked up the win in the battle of national semifinalists a year ago.
Jamie Dolan registered a hat trick and finished with four points. Claire Grimwood and Devon Lotkowski each scored twice. Jacki Patterson, Tori Dugan, Nicole Pyle and Erin Oczkowski scored West Chester's other four goals.
MacKenzie O'Keefe (9-3) suffered the loss in the cage. She started and played the first half. She made six saves and allowed 11 goals. Jess Henderson replaced O'Keefe at halftime and allowed eight goals in the second half and made one save.
West Chester will host Kutztown on Thursday at 4 p.m. at Vonnie Gros Field in its PSAC finale.
