WEST CHESTER, Pa. - Amanda Riley scored twice and Jenna DiSabatino registered a goal and an assist as No. 1 Bloomsburg downed No. 2 West Chester in the home debut for the Golden Rams in a PSAC field hockey contest at Vonnie Gros Field.
West Chester (2-1, 0-1 PSAC) made its PSAC debut, hosting Bloomsburg (4-0, 2-0) after a 10-day layoff. The Golden Rams received a goal from Alisha Moran off a penalty corner. However, the Huskies were more than up to the task and had built a 3-0 lead by the time Moran got the hosts on the board.
Bloomsburg scored twice late in the first half to take a 2-0 advantage into the break. Jenna DiSabatino got the visitors on the board first in the 29th minute, followed by Riley's first of two markers in the 33rd minute.
Riley made it a three-goal lead for the Huskies in the 40th minute. Moran then gave the home crowd something to cheer abou tin the 44th minute. Cassie DiSabatino closed out the scoring on a penalty stroke in the 54th minute.
Kristen Arnold (2-1) suffered her first loss of the season in goal for West Chester. She made eight saves. Senior co-captain Brynn Adams was credited with a defensive save as well.
Meghan Hollenbach (4-0) remained unbeaten on the year, making six saves. Jaclyn Beasley was credited with a defensive save for the Huskies as well.
West Chester travels to No. 5 Indiana (Pa.) on Friday, before heading to Seton Hill Saturday for another PSAC contest.
