MILLERSVILLE, Pa. - West Chester University's women's volleyball team won two of its three matches Saturday at the Marauders Clash.
The Golden Rams dropped a 3-2 decision to Shepherd University in the opening match, falling behind 2-0 in sets for the third straight match. West Chester rallied to force a fifth set, but fell 15-11 in the deciding set. The Rams downed Bowie State and Holy Family in three straight sets each.
Lisa Campbell recorded six aces and Dana Markol registered five in the 25-17, 25-7, 25-6 win over Bowie State.
Mary Faust had 18 digs and 15 assists in the win over Holy Family (25-21, 25-23, 25-21). Helen Fitzpatrick added 19 assists. Lexi Kegerise had 15 kills and Julie Boblits 10.
Boblits was named to the first team all-tournament squad while Lisa Campbell and Helen Fitzpatrick were each second team, and Kelly Martin was an honorable mention selection.
West Chester hosts the Ram Fest at home at Hollinger Field House next Friday and Saturday.
