West Chester Downs Slippery Rock, 83-43

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – Freshman Brittany Sicinski scored 15 points, leading four Golden Rams in double figures as visiting West Chester defeated homestanding Slippery Rock, 83-43, Tuesday night inside Morrow Fieldhouse.
 
West Chester (5-2, 2-2 PSAC) evened its record in conference play while Slippery Rock (1-6, 0-4) is still in search of its first PSAC victory.
 
Fellow freshman Dallas Ely scored 14 points for the Rams while classmate Jasmen Clark and senior Meghan Kerrigan each contributed 12 points. Junior guard Tiffany Johnson dished out a career-high seven assists.
 
West Chester shot 51 percent from the field while holding Slippery Rock to 28 percent from the floor. The Golden Rams also held a 47-35 advantage on the boards.
 
The Rams opened on a 17-2 run in the first six minutes of the contest and never looked back. After The Rock sank its second bucket of the game, WCU then rattled off the game’s next 13 points.
 
West Chester continues its road trip out west with a 5:30 p.m. tip against nationally ranked Edinboro Wednesday night in McComb Field House.
