GREENWOOD, S.C. - Jordan Wlodarczyk collected a pair of hits and Jack Provine doubled, but host Lander scored four runs in the third and one more in the seventh en route to a 5-0 shutout over visiting West Chester Sunday afternoon at Dolny Stadium.
West Chester (0-3) dropped the third and final game of its season-opening series at Lander (5-1), mustering just four hits in the contest.
Conor Kerins (0-1) suffered the loss on the mound. He started the tilt, lasted 2.2 innings, allowing four runs on four hits. He walked one and struck out four. Matt McAllister relieved Kerins and threw 4.1 innings, giving up one run on four hits. He struck out one and did not walk a batter. Kyle Weary pitched the ninth, allowing one hit, walking one and striking out one.
Wlodarczyk went 2-for-4 with a double while Provine was 1-for-4 with a double. Justin Lamborn collected West Chester's only other base hit.
West Chester opens its home slate on Saturday, Feb. 23 with a doubleheader against the College of Saint Rose at 12 p.m.
