Box Score CAPE COD, Mass. - West Chester University senior forward Ambreelinne Ortman was named the ECAC Division II athlete of the week it was announced by that organization Tuesday afternoon.
Ortman averaged 11 points per game and grabbed 11 rebounds leading West Chester to a split of its two games last week. Ortman led the team in scoring with 16 points in a road loss to Millersville on Saturday. However, she had six points and four rebounds in a win over Mansfield on Wednesday. Ortman also blocked a shot in that win over the Mountaineers. For the week, Ortman made 52.9 percent of her shots from the field (9-for-17) and was a perfect 3-for-3 from the foul line. Ortman is approaching 700 career points and surpassed 350 career rebounds last week.
Ortman and the Golden Rams return to action Wednesday night as they hit the road once again for a PSAC East contest at Kutztown. Tip-off is set for 5:30 p.m. inside Keystone Arena.
