GREENWOOD, S.C. – Mike Raimo was 2-for-5 with a run scored and RBI, but visiting West Chester dropped the second game of a three-game series at Dolny Stadium Saturday afternoon.
West Chester (0-2) dropped its second straight to open the 2013 campaign while Lander (4-1) showed the polish that five games will give you.
Trailing 2-0, the host Bearcats loaded the bases in the fourth inning and put up a four-spot to capture the lead for good. Lander would then tack on two more in the fifth, after West Chester had answered with a run of its own in the top half, and the Bearcats led 6-3.
Tyler Coleman went 2-for-4 with a pair of runs scored while Justin Lamborn also went 3-for-5. Starter Fred Breidenbach (0-1) lasted five innings, yielding six runs on eight hits while walking two and striking out one.
West Chester scored four runs on 12 hits and made two errors. Lander scored seven runs on 10 hits and did not commit an error.
